Inland American Real Estate Trust wins bid for Winston Hotels

Oak Brook-based Inland American Real Estate Trust won the tussle for Winston Hotels Inc. Tuesday, after the North Carolina real estate investment trust agreed to Inland‘s buyout bid of $15 a share, or about $458 million.

Zell, a Chicago real estate tycoon, will buy Tribune Co. 
Tribune Co., owner of The Chicago Tribune and The Los Angeles Times, accepted an $8.2 billion takeover offer.
